hello world!

Juan Francisco Martínez CerdáMy name is Juan Francisco Martínez Cerdá and I have a BSc in Maths, a MSc in Teaching of Secondary Education and a MSc in ICT Management. Now, I’m a PhD student: I’m studying a Master’s Degree Programme in Information and Knowledge Society -research trajectory-, the period prior to the Doctoral Programme.

I am a postgraduate researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and I am working on several projects related with media and information literacy.

I was head of studies with Fundació Observatori per a la Societat de la Informació de Catalunya at Generalitat de Catalunya and senior business analyst at Altran. Previously, I worked as an ICT Area Coordinator at EDS, analyst/programmer at ADP, and administrative assistant at CAM.

I play the clarinet, too. I learned to play the clarinet with the band of Asociación de Amigos de la Música de Yecla when I was a student. I grew up loving my home cooked food from Yecla, a town in south-eastern Spain. I like movies -films with good scripts- and sountracks.

Here, you can see my education, research projects and works in which I could collaborate. Also, some interesting tools to do data analysis and some ideas worked by me, and others works done by other people. And several inspirational ideas. Some of these posts are published by me at ICTsophy review (ISSN 2014-377X).

Previously, I launched two websites, but now I do not update them: matenomia [applications of mathematics in every life] and mathourism [mathematical tourism - a mathematical journey around the world to find places related to maths]. You can see a lot of ideas in these websites.

I believe in the technology added to the humanology: technologies without common sense are a source of troubles.
Internet is only the beginning… as the mathematics.
The Goal is ‘To create’: it is the only eternal goal. The rest is ephemeral and will happen fashionable.
